			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Founded on December 17, 1941, WSON-AM is one of Kentucky’s oldest radio stations. The station operates on 860 kHz with 500 watts twenty-four hours per day.</p>
<p>WSON has an extensive schedule of local programming and keeps its audience up to date with local, state, national and international news and the latest in weather and sports information. The Henderson Report airs each weekday at 7:30 am, noon and 4:00 pm and every Saturday at 7:30 am, and features local news, traffic information and local obituaries. Every weekday morning shortly after 8:00, the station airs the thirty minute award winning “Speak Up” program, which focuses on a topic of local interest.</p>
<p>WSON airs an extensive schedule of Henderson County football, boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball games. In addition to high school sports, the station features play by play coverage of the University of Kentucky football and basketball games, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Tennessee Titans football and other NFL games.</p>
<p>Throughout its history, WSON has believed its mission is to focus on being a local station serving its community and it remains dedicated to being involved and serving Henderson County and the surrounding area. The station strives to keep up with the times with plans to broadcasts on the FM band through a FM translator at 96.5 mHz and by extensive news coverage on its website at <a href="http://www.wsonradio.com">wsonradio.com.</a></p>

Whether a listener wants the best new country music, extensive local and regional sports entertainment, or regular weather and news updates, WMSK-FM provides something for everyone!</p>
<p>WMSK FM is a proud affiliate of Union County High School Braves sports, Kentucky Wildcats basketball and football, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Through regularly scheduled and personalized local and regional newscasts and weather forecasts, 101.3 WMSK FM maintains a long and strong connection to the community and its needs.</p>
<p>WMSK AM/FM is located in the city of Morganfield in Union County, Kentucky and serves all of Union, Henderson, Crittenden, and Webster Counties in Kentucky, portions of Vanderberg County and Posey County in Indiana, and portions of Gallatin, White, and Hardin Counties in Illinois.</p>
<p>WMSK’s format is country music, with a heavy emphasis on information., while WMSK-AM features the Fox Sports Network and other sports programming including Kentucky Sports Radio with Matt Jones.  The FM station broadcasts at 101.3 mHz with 5400 watts and a center of radiation of 272 feet above average terrain. WMSK-AM broadcasts on 1550 kHZ with 250 watts daytime and reduced power at night. Both stations broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.</p>
